Nick Ruffin Excavating ended 2025 with a surge, helping to prepare the site for AECI Utility Solutions' new warehouse and distribution center. We partnered with Clark Contractors, LLC to provided site clearing, earthwork, and storm drainage services.

Located at the Arkansas Electric Cooperative facility off of Scott Hamilton Drive, the new facility will span over 84,000 square feet and serve as a regional hub to cooperatives and utilities across a five-state footprint.

The site sits on approximately 14.5 acres with a project area of approximately 7.75 acres. Our work consisted of clearing approximately 2 acres, utilizing onsite material, undercutting and replacing approximately 9,000 cubic yards of unsuitable material with select fill, importing and placing approximately 5,490 tons of Class 7, and installing 1,560 linear feet of storm drainage.

Despite unforeseen conditions and changes to the project, we finished ahead of schedule and without delays to other subcontractors. The distribution center is scheduled to open in October 2026.
